License Fees: $15 each for Spayed or Neutered Dog
$20 each if NOT Spayed or Neutered

If your dog is not licensed before April 1, a $5 late penalty is added to the cost of each license. Late fee exceptions are residents moving into Sussex after March 31, or welcoming a new dog into your home after March 31.

This license is only valid for persons living in the Village of Sussex and is valid for one (1) calendar year.

The State of Wisconsin requires that all dogs be licensed after reaching the age of five (5) months and that all dog owners present proof of rabies immunization before a license can be issued. An invoice or statement from your veterinarian which shows the rabies tag number and expiration date is acceptable proof. This license is subject to the provisions of Chapter 174 of the State Statutes; and such provisions and regulations as may at any time be imposed by the State of WI.

Payments are processed through Stripe. A processing fee of 2.9% + 0.30 will be assessed by Stripe. The Village does not receive any revenue from these fees.

Dog licenses are processed during business hours, Monday-Friday, and mailed within five (5) business days.
